Travel price is $60 per hour with a $10 travel & set-up fee. Two or more people per location share the one time travel fee. Please call or email for specific dates and times. I am available throughout Greater Sacramento, and occasionally the Bay Area and North Lake Tahoe. Any location for special occasions can be arranged as well.

Massage for greater well-being is recommended every three to four weeks. Similar to regularly changing your car's oil, only the body has more numerous and more complex systems, all of which are affected by massage. It is truly body-mind-spirit. Weekly or bi-monthly massage is preferred at first for any acute physical or stressful conditions.

Any questions, just ask. Mini-spa retreats at your home, calming pre-wedding jitters, 10 minute clothed increments at events, maternity, senior care, corporate packages... massage can be enjoyed in many ways. Gift certificates are available.

BACKGROUND
I took my first massage course 16 years ago, Circulatory Massage at UCSD, and over the years developed my touch and body awareness with friends and other therapists. I became a full-time Certified Massage Therapist four years ago and continue to take advanced technique classes regularly, now approaching 800 hours.

I grew up nearby in Fair Oaks, studied art in San Diego, enjoyed a career in graphic design in Sacramento, and outdoor emergency care with Ski Patrol in Tahoe. Nothing is as fullfilling for me as studying the immeasurable healing capacity of the human body and spirit.

MASSAGE SESSION

The majority of my massages start as full body relaxation with rocking, compression, and aromatherapy. Flax seed heat packs are used during the cooler months. The sessions become a gentle yet increasingly deeper deep tissue massage to work out areas of tension or pain. There is usually a pattern of tension throughout a larger area as well that is also addressed, as well as less focused attention throughout the body if time allows or is a priority. However, some prefer an invigorating, firm style of massage without focus. Some are needing a soothing, nurturing, slowly flowing, light/medium massage. Some prefer their limbs to be moved and stretched for increased focused tension relief, others prefer to keep their arms and legs at rest so that they may fully relax and float away. I enjoy hearing your preferences, and welcome the opportunity to create a massage that's best for you.

For deep tissue work, I prefer the philosophy that "good pain" can be relieving and relaxing (a common definition of "good pain" is a "good intense 7" on a scale of 1 - 10). Anything more may elicit a stress response in your systems, and that works against the goal of our session. I encourage feedback of your experience in order to create the safest environment for your bodywork, but also that you enjoy the chances to "float away." There are enumerable benefits to that level of relaxation.
